Training
nestor offers events, videos and publications that provide training in digital preservation. The content is developed and presented by experienced professionals. Of particular note are the annual „Praxistag“ and low-threshold web seminars.
The nestor competence network has recognised the need for education and training in the field of digital preservation. This is addressed by training programmes developed by members of the network and other institutions. The focus is on interdisciplinary programmes, and both beginners and advanced users are addressed.
Particularly noteworthy is the annual „Praxistag“, which provides the German-speaking community with an opportunity for exchange, discussion and thinking outside the box. In addition to face-to-face meetings, low-threshold web seminars offer concentrated content and a starting point for further research and dialogue with experts.
Another component of the qualification programme are the nestor publications, which are developed by nestor experts alone or in working groups.
Until 2023, the qualification work in nestor was the responsibility of 13 university partners who were linked to each other and to nestor by a memorandum of understanding. The content developed as part of this MoU is hosted by the SUB Göttingen
